We are finally in the last week of the election 2010 campaign and despite following the general election very closely I have to admit I ain’t got a clue what’s going to happen on May 6th!!!!
My youngest son who is 13 has a section on this site called Real Clear Politics for Kids and he’s mad on art, wants to be a graphic artist. I think his political cartoon below sums up the general election right now :-)
Who would have thought this time last month that Nick Clegg, 6 days from a general election is talking about the election being a two horse race between the Liberal Democrats and the Conservatives and no one is laughing!
General Election Predictions
I’ve been thinking about what the political landscape will look like on May 7th and though I’ll take a guess in the comments below, to be honest the only results I don’t see as a realistic possibility is a Labour win.
I can see a very tight Conservative win and even a very tight Liberal Democrats win, but I’d bet good money on Labour not having a majority (or even above 300 MPs) on May 7th!
I would NOT bet against a hung parliament on May 7th, but will be guessing at who has most seats, how the popular vote is shared etc….
What’s your general election 2010 prediction?
Copy the text below and paste it into a new comment and add your prediction.
Labour = seats (% of the popular vote)
Conservative = seats (% of the popular vote)
Liberal Democrats = seats (% of the popular vote)
Others = seats (% of the popular vote)
I honestly think of those who will ACTUALLY vote in England the Tories edge the popular vote, or there will be a huing parliment, but i still think Lib dems have a small chance.
The General Election
Change? give me a break…
It is obvious to me what the result will be on Friday evening May 7th.
Labour/Conservative 1st and/or 2nd, Liberal Democrats 3rd.
Just as you ALWAYS make it happen.
The vast majority of you are self opinionated, self serving and selfish.
Me, me, me, me, me. You are incapable of making any responsible informed decisions to create peace and harmony for human Kind.
You are sheep. You are cowards.

How refreshing it was to read Reality’s comments.
Wouldn’t it be nice to think that people are voting for the common good, and not just for what they think is best for number 1?
In spite of the fact that many political guru’s say that a hung parliament would be a bad thing, I cannot help thinking that a coalition, which in fact is very similar, has to be a GOOD thing.
Party politics is confrontational and we need co-operation, not confrontation. The best brains from all sides working in harmony, how can that be bad?
It’s what we had during the last war, I am old enough to remember it, and were it not so, it is probable that we would not have the choices we have now.
Weed Out Greed. Pull together, not apart, We will get there a lot quicker that way.
