The Labour Party won the 2005 UK general election with 35.3% of the popular British vote. The Conservative Party was just a few points behind with points behind at 32.3% of the popular vote, but because of the first past the post voting system, the Labour Party had a significant majority with 356 parliamentary seats […]

Why do some people refer to a “socialist”government?Didn’t the Tories complain that New Labour was pinching their policies ?Britain has been runnng a captalist economy so this is a crisis of capitalism not socialism.Brown has ben siphoning off “profits” and redistibuting it to the less well off while the Tories have opposed these moves.
Cameron showed his ineptitude at the time of the crisis and acted like a rabbit caught in headlights so we would be in a worse mess had he been in”charge”. Cameron is a busted flush !He should have had a walkover by now but blew it !Many want “change”but “change” is not a policy.I’ll be voing for someone who has the proven experience.BROWN!

Phew, what a night. At around 9:30pm last night the site became unloadable because of a large increase in traffic and that continued until gone 1 am. What the heck are people searching about the general election in mass at gone midnight!!!
It’s taken hours to get the site working correctly again and I only got it working at gone 1 am by installing caching software (it makes the site run faster by not connecting to the database for every visitor), but this is affecting the polls.
Not sure how bad the issue is yet, I think people can vote, but the result isn’t loading right away because pages are cached (visitors are getting old pages basically and see the vote still available option).
I’ll probably find a fix, but the election is today and I plan to close the main general election poll today anyway, so not a big loss if I can’t fix it now.
I guess we are in for a lot of traffic today if at 9pm the night before the election there’s enough traffic to bring the dedicated server I run the site on to it’s knees!

The B.N.P and its members have weathered the storm from the fourth protocol,so today is the day,to take our country back.VOTE B.N.P.
i wanted to vote B.N.P, i live in brent nw london but their name wasnt even on the list, why?
thats becouse they are the kkk dont vote for them unless you are anti black.
Vote for ukip.
They are not the KKK they are realistic and actually speak sense. They have said what the country needs to do.
No, don’t vote for UKIP. They’re no better than the BNP, they’re homophobic and racist in every sense of the word.
Because to many people are afraid to stand up for what they know is actually right for the country.
BNP deserve the vote, they’re likely to be the only party that will act HONESTLY upon their policies.
3 horse race this time round it seems, won’t be too long before it becomes a 4 horse race.
Up the BNP !!
If you vote BNP and your ancestors fought against Hitler you should either be ashamed of the BNP or ahamed of your ancestors – what’s it to be?
No way ashamed of my ancestors, just VERY ashamed the way this country is governed.
I honestly believe my ancestors didn’t fight for what the country has become today.
Maybe we would have been better run by Hitler than the traitors that have sold out our country today.
BNP = KKK/NEO NAZIS/NATIONAL FRONT
UKIP = LESS RACIST BNP
TORIES = SLIGHTLY MORE SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE UKIP, THIS IS THE PARTY BNP SUPPORTERS ARE VOTING FOR IF THEY HAVEN’T GOT A BNP CANDIDATE.
Says it all really.
Good enough for me !!
OK ALL YOU TORIES, GET OUT AND VOTE AND GET RID IF ALI BABA AND HIS 40 THIEVES, NOW IS THE TIME TO GET THE COUNTRY BACK TO BEING GREAT.
Disillusioned? The LIB DEMS are untested. So test them.
VOTE FOR REAL CHANGE
The Lib Dems are untested and in these unstable times we don’t need that. I do hope that their popularity helps keep the Tories from power though, and I think the Liberals call for new voting system is good.
And if you think Tory George Osborne is capable and qualified to run the economy, after his hammering in the chancellor’s debate, and after voting against every successful measure taken by the government, think again.
How anyone could vote the the BNP is beyond me. Their leader Nick Griffin was a prominent member of the neo Nazi National Front, and is a holocaust denier. If you vote for them and have ancestors who fought against Hitler, you should be ashamed.

Couldn’t agree with you more, Helen. I have voted lib dem because they seem the fairest and they are the most likely to get in in my area. Hopefully my vote will keep the bnp out as we already have a bnp mep which is disgusting to say the least.
You can say what you want about the BNP and how disgusting they are but the fact is peoples opinions are not getting across and the Great British Public have just simply had enough. And my family and i have had members fight and die for this country and family still fighting for this country and we are so proud of them all. VOTE BNP.

Disillusioned?
Voting is futile.
Contact your local MP. Give your grievances, then tell him/her to resign and f**k off.
This kind of people reaction is REAL CHANGE
i say vote for someone with real policies,
a non radical but effective view on imigration, this is the problem thats causing financial meltdown.
we do not have enough money in the country as it is, the more imigrants we home the poorer everyone is made.
leave the EU and use the money on something important to us.
vote UK Indipendance Party

This election is like the election that brought Bush into power. Labour voters are not good at at taking part in election poll. Just see how Labour will win the election but with a small mejority.
