WordPress (software the site runs under) doesn’t allow editing of ‘guest’ comments by the guest. I’d love to be able to open this site up to registered users so they can edit their own comments, but WordPress gives either too much or not enough access to registered users!
There’s no option to give a person just access to edit their own comments, the options are:
* Administrator – Somebody who has access to all the administration features
* Editor – Somebody who can publish posts, manage posts as well as manage other people’s posts, etc.
* Author – Somebody who can publish and manage their own posts
* Contributor – Somebody who can write and manage their posts but not publish posts
* Subscriber – Somebody who can read comments/comment/receive news letters, etc.
Subscriber is the closest, but lacks comment editing ability, so it’s no better than what you get now since the site is fully open to everyone to read everything.
So no option to allow editing of your own comments unfortunatly. If you’ve made a mistake drop a comment below it and I’ll make the change and delete the “I’ve made a mistake” comment :-)
