I’ve spent 50 years of my life carrying both military and civilian ID as an ex-member of British military forces, and in various countries around the world.

I can assure you that all an ID Card does, on production, is to immediatly reduce the alertness of the inspecting officer, who natutally anticipates that the bearer of the ID Card to be a “bona fida” holder (entitled person) for that pass, and that the pass is genuine.

Rightly or wrongly.

Worse than a waste of money, it’s even counter productive!!!!!!

Now then, do you wante the monies or spend it on more real, suspicious officers, alert, for added protection?
