I am french and been leaving in the UK for 12 years.
I won’t vote in England as it is not my country.
But I can’t help to compare and I can’t believe that Labour did so much wrong and still people are hesitating and not realising what they’ve lost already and especially one of the most important one which is your “Freedom!”. So many laws passed (under your nose) without anyone realising the full extend of it. DNA Database / Phone taping/ internet / CCTV / Anti-Terrorist laws (which are p.o.i.n.t.l.e.s.s) many not listed and more coming… you might have nothing to fear today but you NOW cannot hide from any future evil gourvernment that might come into power (thank you to your Labour “Lord and Order”).
And another thing how can a Prime Minister decide to stay in power without the willing of his people!!! Please, don’t tell me is that because you are voting for a gouvernment instead of a PM! :-)
English (worker) pay pretty much the same tax as the french but what have you got to show for? NHS? Public Transport? (rip off and not “Public” no more), Retirment allowance?, job seekers allowance? Maternity leave? Paternity leave lol? I can go on and on… Where is YOUR MONEY GOING? sorry I know this is all negatif and France is FARE from perfect (just the french alone!) but these are facts.
