I’m traditionally a Labour voter, but recently I’ve found myself drawn to the Liberal Democrats. After the live TV leaders debates I’m hoping for a big swing to the Lib Dems from the Conservatives to keep the Tories out of government for at least another 5 years. The most recent polls shows a hung parliament […]

If you’re interested in this…
Based on Robert Worcester’s article in the Guardian on Sunday, we built a quick online tool that allows people to see what to should do in the marginal constituencies.
Are there any other advisory sites like as this does not contain my constituency of Wirral West which is a key marginal. Is held be Labour now but is traditional Tory. How can I stop the Tory retaking it? Thx
Hi IJ
i too live in wirral west and am leaning towards the lib dems. I found this site http://www.tacticalvoting.org/ which has wirral west in. Also the bookies is always a good way to see rankings.

both would suggest voting labour as a tactical vote….although i still think there could be a decent swing too the lib dems over last few weeks (just to confuse matters!)

In Wirral West only Labour can beat the Tories.
The Libs were 10,000 votes behind at the 2005 election and can’t win. Its a straight Labour – Tory fight
Vote Labour to keep the Tories out.
Robert Worcester’s article in the Guardian “How to vote tactically: our guide to Britain’s key battleground seats” https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2010/may/02/tactical-vote-election-2010 makes for very interesting reading.
When I was writing my article I didn’t want to say all the new Lib Dem support was mostly from the Conservative party gains since the 2005 election, but it looks like it is.

The Country Destroying Lefties are resorting to ever more desperate tactics to ensure 5 more years of broken promises, authoritarian goverment, expenses abuses, abuse of anyone disagreeing with them on immigration/Islam, economic collapse, increasing taxes, surrendering more power to the EUSSR and of course bailing out banks while allowing millions to lose their jobs/homes

Why don’t you go back into your paranoid, Daily Mail reading hypocritical little demi-monde and stay there until May 7th!
vote Tory -you’ll restore foxhunting and won’t restore the country side. The tories destroyed our countryside under Thatcher – hedges, species rich meadows, jobs. Remember the worst chancellor we ever had, who fuelled house price inflation like no other, Lawson. Remember the last Tory recession – far more out of work, far deeper destruction of our manafcturing base. Lets have support for our farmers linked to the environment, decent support for our environment with sensible transport policies etc. Don’t vote Tory – there’s no common sense!

I have been in a dilemma over voting, its the first time in my life that I find myself in this limbo and I can only blame the politicians – what is to become of the true Brit I wonder.
All this tactical voting makes a total and complete utter mockery of whom you should be voting for.
It’s true when people are saying it’s a desperate attempt to keep the Conservative’s out of power. If you believe Labour or Lib Dems then for christ’s sake vote for them! But if you believe that the party you have ususally voted for doesnt have the balls and the power to beat the Conservatives then well what can I say…DESPERATE! DESPERATE!
I have always voted Conservative and will continue to do so even if the tables were turned and had a chance to tactical vote for another party just to keep out the party I dont like…Thats what I would call 100% belief in a party. IF YOUR GONNA VOTE FOR A PARTY THEN DO IT WITH 100% BELIEF!!

True.
Desperation has a rotten smell.
VOTE UKIP
Amusing.
Seems to me that the British people never learn. I dont live there (thankfully) but I visited on business recently. What a horrible mess the socialists and the EU have made of Britain. The country has embraced the idiot culture, there are millions of unmarried mothers with delinquent children, crime is totally out of control because the do-gooders favour criminals, Islam is rampant and dangerous, the country is full of the world’s rubbish. THe government have taken away everyone’s personal freedoms, everyone’s pensions and all of the choices of the decent, honest person so that now they have to live in a chav-infested, bankrupt, filthy, immoral mess.
I will give it 10 years maximum before the UK is finished for good.
I dont live there, but I do have dual nationality which allows me a British Passport. I will not be voting because unfortunately the mess that country is in will never be restored to good, thanks to psychopath Tony Blair having conducted a ridiculous “right-on” social experiment. Anyone who says anything about the government is either a racist or a bigot. Its a nasty, vile, left-wing dictatorship which parades its vile views through the BBC.
Then there are the Guardian-reading lefties who occupy the millions of pathetic government non-jobs, who think its fashionable to bring in policies to house and employ muslims before any indigenous resident.
Sorry Britain, but if you dont get a strong and good leader to fix it, there is going to be a serious unrest soon.
I am glad im not there to see it, but I do wish you well.
