Thursday’s live Leaders Debate was quite an exciting one, it was quite tense, all three leaders attempted to claw their way to the top and as the case in the ITV’s 1st Debate Nick Clegg won.
The Lib Dems victory wasn’t as unanimous as the 1st but, wining by the skin of your teeth is winning all the same.
With David Cameron attempting to replicate the results that Nick Clegg achieved by trying to be a Clegg copycat by looking straight into the camera (a result that helped the Lib Dems boost in support) and appearing to be disappointed by Gordon Browns few petty scwabbles with Clegg.
We had mentions of a beauty contest (of which I don’t think either of the 3 would win :S) and we had bitter betrayals by Gordon Brown announcing that he couldn’t trust the politician he could be partnered with to run the country (Nick Clegg).
The Debates were quite a free-for-all but reflecting (again) upon the 1st Debate Alistair Stewart was a quite a brilliant mediator compared to rookie sky news political correspondent Adam Boulton, Adam barely stepped in to stop the the leaders diverting off the mentioned topic/question, it felt like Adam was a part of the audience not a competent moderator truly a fish out of water.
I recommend that BBC makes sure that they find a journalist/political correspondent that is experienced enough to handle the chaos enlisted by the 3 leaders.
Adam Boulton’s performance was not satisfactory.
Call me petty but, I’ve also noticed (the frankly unnoticeable) bias political views of Sky News they let David Cameron on longer and they let him divert ridiculously from the point without him being recalled or challenged.
