Found an interesting article on the BBC website:http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/the_daily_politics/7949104.stm from the Daily Politics show back in March 2009. A poll was conducted with just over 1,000 eligible voters asking the following questions with the following answers. 1. The current economic crisis has made me more likely to support Britain joining the Euro Agree- 31% : Disagree- […]
Continue Reading Should Britain Leave the European Union Poll?
We are ham strung by European legislation, much of which is irrelevant to the UK, which is why we are rapidly slipping down the toilet.
Our legal system is a joke
We have no idea how many Europeans have slipped in and ripping off the benefit system
We child benefit to Polish kids living in Poland!!!
We can’t kick out terrorists – why don’e we just ship all our illegal foreign criminals to Brussels.
We spend a fortune on those irrelevant MEP beurocrats
I could go on and on and on and…………………..

we should never have gone in in the first place, I voted no in the only poll we had. I am now coming up72 years old, and am even more convinced we should still come out.The european union we now have is in any case a con, it is nothing like the union britain first ( should not have ) joined
Spending millions per day on this union is a total waste of british money, money we now need more than ever.
Leave—–leave—–leave, as soon as possible.

The EU is constitutionally at this moment in time, more important than the ECHR. We are required to give “precedence” to EU law. As I understand it, the ECHR is not entrenched against either implied or express repeal and therefore theoretically it could be repealed. What is taking place now a farce, for this Government could pull out of the ECHR IF THEY REALLY WANTED TO DO THAT. However, it rather looks as if Mr Cameron does not want to, but is looking rather to more deeper and more integration into the European union. I say that with confidence because the Legislation that he is implementing at present proves that, for it is all towards deeper and more meaningful EU integration. (The dismantling of the NHS in readiness to join the Euro in the next Parliament) The Localism Bill, (Towards local and Regional Governance-yes, another layer of Government-unless we lose our Commons) The EU’s TEN-T program, which covers land-roads and rail, air and sea. For the EU’s Motorway in the Sea, for the Single European Sky and the Ports. That “PORTS” had me puzzled until I realised for ‘EU’ ships to come in and out of our Ports they would be within the 12 mile limit and thus-it would not be THEIRS, so will we lose the 12 mile limit? Will World Maps have to be altered? Will the English Channel become as a rather large river between England and France in just one big EU State of? I don’t know, but I can’t see any other explanation for all that is in the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) Policy.

Yes we should leave the EU and take control of our own lives again. Soon the floodgates will be open to Romania when already we are told that migrants are landing on our shores at a rate of 250,000 per month, that is equivalent of the population of three cities the size of Birmingham, every year! The EU is NOT working for us!

My grandfather fought in the war so that Britain would remain a democracy- like a lot of people I took no notice when he used to talk about it -now I realise what he meant!
Britain was once a great country -but now what my grandfather fought for (and many died for) doesn’t seem to matter.
The EU is a joke (that only Vince Cable and his ilk get) I am not european – I am British – the twain will never meet! There are more differences than similarities – all the money in the world (British taxpayers money!) spent on spin won’t change that – Europe day? ( how much has that cost me in taxes?) why no Saint George’s Day? oh yes -forgot -I am English (a soon to be minority group) – does that mean I will be able to claim European jobseekers allowance??()(probably not as have paid taxes all my working life) Ukip (or any other party) that promises (and keeps that promise) gets my vote
