Comment on Reasons to Vote British National Party by VoteNo ToBNP.

To be totally honest, the great British (white, or any other colour) don’t actually vote BNP in any great numbers anyway, so the BNP are not actually the political power house they seem to think they really are.

If you take a look at the numbers:

Westminster MP: 650+ BNP MPs = 0
EU MEPs = )UK) 72 BNP MEPs = 2
UK Councillors = 20,000 + BNP Councillors 55-60

So the BNP don’t hold any real power over the country as a whole, the strongest council they did have had 9 councillors out of around 60, one of those councillors quit the BNP the other week Alby Walker and now intends to stand against the BNP Depity Chairman Simon Darby in Stoke-On-Trent Central in the General Election, Alby Walkers wife who is also a BNP councillor on the same council is currently considering her position and looks as though she to will quit the BNP.

Many high profile members of the BNP have recently left the party and gone back to the National Front, so far from growing the BNP seem to be faltering and losing members.

Wakefield by-election (held just last week) in 2008 the BNP came 2nd, in 2010 the BNP came 3rd losing almost half of their previous voters, so again it doesn’t look like the BNP are gaining any real ground.

The BNP claim to be fielding some 200 candidates in the 2010 General Election so far they have only confirmed 62 so it doesn’t look as though (at this point) they will be able to musta up enough people to stand in the GE.

So as far as a power base and rising support goes the BNP really are just another small party who cannot demand media coverage or claim to be something special.

So in terms of a website like this the BNP really does fit in to the “other” party category as they don’t command enough power to be classed as a “main” or even “secondary” party.

UKIP and the Green parties have far more representation at council level, including UKIP having 13 MEPs and the Greens have 2 the same as the BNP.

The BNP won 2 EU seats based on around 10,000 less votes than the previous EU Election total votes 943,000 and the Greens got 2 MEPs based on 1.3 million votes, UKIP polled far higher, so again the BNP are not the powerful force they claim to be.

Since the 2009 EU Elections the BNP haven’t won ANY MP by-elections, or any more council seats, in fact they have lost seats on local council, so going backwards not forward.
