Well according to the BNP’s official 2008 accounts (available from the Electoral Commission website) they have a little over 9,000 paid up members.
As for attending a meeting according to what other BNP member say you need to be a member or at least a VERY close friend of a paid up member to be allowed in to their meetings.
There membership has been closed for some months now, due the the current Court Order baring them from taking on new members un till they change their membership rules.
Nick Griffin claims this is enforced on them however the court order clearly says that Nick Griffin agreed to change the membership policy by the 28th Jan, and to get the current voting members to agree to the change before the 28th Jan.
However they have now put off the vote un till Feb 14th after the court date where they agreed to have the job done, so currently breaking a previously agreed court order.
The Electoral Commission are also investigating their last set of accounts and considering possible prosecution for the state of the accounts their own auditors refused to sign off as correct.
