In Q1 of 2009 the BNP received £21,132 between 4 donors
In Q2 the BNP didn’t file any donation returns (not even a NO donations return) for which they were fined £500 for failing to file (note: they still haven’t filled Q2)
In Q3 the BNP received £13,000 between 2 donors
The details of any individual that donates OVER £200 have to be fully recorded and those details given to the Electoral Commission, and those details are available to anyone who wants them via the Electoral Commission, which includes the full statements of accounts etc.
So I note in the latest BNP news letter regarding the accounts they claim that they are doing better than UKIP so I’ll add the UKIP donations filled so far for this year:
Q1 £462,948 compared to the BNP Q1 £21,132
Q2 £560,098 compared to the BNP Q2 NON FILLED
Q3 86,290 compared to the BNP Q3 £13,000
Lets also play fair and run the Green Party numbers as well:
Q1 £21,680
Q2 £147,925
Q3 £76,315
So based on the actual numbers the BNP are telling the Electoral Commission they are getting that shows UKIP and the Green Party are actually doing MUCH better than the BNP.
Freedom of information is great you can check things and claims so quickly.
