You can use your own avatar picture if you register on Gravitar, it then follows you on sites that use wordpress by matching your email address used in registration.
As for the HTML ive tried a few things but i suppose its up to David the Admin what is allowed.
If you want to put a Utube video up just copy the URL link Eg= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZrMoBwssOE and post it into the comment.
