There’s almost 2,000 comments in total now, I don’t check out everyone that posts, just the ones that jump out as a potential problem and even then I don’t act on everything (it’s a website, it’s not that important) if the odd person feels the need to post a couple of extra posts under a different name it’s not going to change anything.
And as Vote2010 said it’s not hard to post under different names without getting caught, it’s only those who aren’t smart enough to post using a different IP (which is very easy to do) that get caught.
I’ve had a look at the posts and have added a note on some of them to say who posted them.
I deleted (edited with a mod note) Crispin’s homophobic comments because it was dragging the debates into the gutter. Although posting in caps irritates me, it wasn’t enough to moderate him, the fact he kept doing it showed he wasn’t that interested in having reasoned arguments, he wanted to cause trouble which helps no one in making an informed decision on who to vote for next year.
What Crispin was doing was damaging the BNP’s cause which is probably why no one has really given me any flak over it (both sides are glad to have him shut up). If my plan here was to damage the BNP I’d have left his comments verbatim and not banned his static IP (I can’t ban a poster not on a static IP).
