OOps Missed a few facts out:
1. The BNP are only planning to field 200 candidates in the next GE, (not enough for power)
2. UKIP are putting up 550 (many targeted directlt against the seats the BNP intend to stand in)
3. The BNP has financial problems (as evidenced by all the begging emails they keep sending out to get money in)
4. The BNP still haven’t filled their 2008 Return with the Electoral Commission (something to hide) it should have been done back in June.
5. There are many questions surrounding the BNP, they only got 13,000 in donation in q3 (all public info)
So we would have to question how long the BNP can last financially anyway, so we know they are not planning on getting any real power in the next GE, but the next thing to look at is can they survie both internally (infights etc) and financially, they are not getting the money in that meats their spend.
I would also suggest that the 2 mep seats will be lost at the next EU election as well, as many people know and even then BNP accept the extra votes they gained last time were Protest Votes and the fact that the other party votes just didn’t bother voting (another form of protest).
So in conclusion, the BNP has no real chance of making any real push towards power, as another thing to consider the economy should come out of resession in the first q of next year which will get plenty press and will cheer people up which will also impact on the BNP vote as there won’t be so much protest voting and if there is it will go towards the other parties like Tory, LibDem and UKIP as again they are seen as far more acceptable and don;t have the racist roots that the BNP has.
The BNP keep saying we are not racist but the British people have long memories and it will take the BNP years to drop that image.
