Comment on Liberal Democrats to Win The General Election! by Peter Driver.

The Tories’ manifesto for the elderly includes a surprising promise, to increase pensions in line with earnings, not cost of living increases. For those with long memories (I’m 75), the Tories’ first budget on being elected in 1979 was to do what? Remove this connection, thus reducing state pensions from then until now. I wouldn’t mind betting that state pensions would now be £150 per week, not the £95 we get. What dishonesty by Mr Cameron!

Secondly, they nearly doubled VAT to 15%. Just watch out for these tricks being repeated. For poor and elderly people it could be a costly exercise to vote Tory.
