Comment on Labour Policies : Labour Asylum and Immigration Policy by rosie.g.

As a measure of GDP, the economy will get bigger if you increase the population, but the economic wellbeing of individuals, per head of population, may well remain unchanged, because nobody is actually better off.
For the economy to actually grow, and for people to be better off, you need it to grow WITHOUT increasing the population.

While I am writing, I would like to point out that I find the moderator’s comments about economics and his comments about immigration and Islam reveal a naive and somewhat credulous attitude to the problems besetting UK today.

Our situation is serious.
