I really cannot see the “problem” with legalising cannabis and I agree whole heartedly with the above posts. Look at this way Cannabis and the taking of it has now become an accepted part of culture in most cities (over the world) and I bet you everybody in this country can name somebody they know who smokes it. Obviously there is the tax and job issues as mentioned above, but above all; If legalised, cannabis and eventually other drugs will come under strict controls and not end up in the hands of young, vunerable, children. And even if they do at least there will be clear, precise instructions on how to take the said drug. Of course there is always going to be issues of abuse, but there is no way they can stop the influx of illegal narcotics into this country, without legalisation. Let’s, for a change, try educating people on making an informed decision, rather than making the decision for them!
