I started this General Election site June 2009 (in anticipation of the UK 2010 general election) since it takes sometime (usually 9+ months, like having a baby :)) for the major search engines to rank a new web site well (my business is getting sites ranked high in search engines like Google). HOW MUCH LONGER IS THIS COUNTRY GOING TO PUT UP WITH LABOUR AND THERE LIES.ALL BLAIR,BROWN ,PRESCOT HAVE EVER WANTED TO DO IS WASTE PUBLIC MONEY .I AM ASHAMED TO SAY THAT I USED TO VOTE LABOUR BUT NOT ANY MORE.
Actually Gordon Brown has done a lot of good for people who have been affected by the recession. Under the last conservative government anyone who lost their job was forced to lose their home too when the government put a six month bar on mortgage interest payments. Gordon Brown reduced this to 3 months, which stopped many people losing their homes in the recession.
I think he is a truly passionate man who actually cares. I have never voted labour before but I will be doing so this time. The alternative does not bare thinking about!!!

LAB/CON/LIB? The so called main 3 parties are all the same. An analogy : consider energy firms post privatisation…same actual supply, same service but different price. Very much like the choice we have at this election. Not much to choose from and for most it boils down to money, and even then there is not much in it.
Big issues people care about such as law and order, immigration, employment etc.. Forget it, these parties do not consider these issues important enough. So, who does your vote go to and is there any point?

BNP real-politik!
Down to earth Tory, get on your British made bike Norman Tebbit; has got it about right, when commenting on the BNP. In reality; they are Old Working Class Labour, wrapped up in tough on crime, commonsense native-Britishfirst, bread and butter Nationalism. The Party is both conservative and labour at the same time. Very clever! No wonder, they have the political triumvirate worried beyond belief.

Last night they said about giving carers a one week break a year, To go on holidays , yeah right how can we afford that as the gov only gives us £53.90 per week carers allowance, give us the minimum wage.that would make life a lot easier , many carers have given up good jobs to look after loved ones for what a slap in the face 24/7 52 weeks a year , come on now we are always the forgotten ones ,

If Labour win I will blame Scotland , I find it unbelievable that with so much poverty, unemployment, crime and being repeatedly taken advantage of by Westminster MP’s that anyone would even consider Labour . Not to mention the banking scandal , Bank of where ?
To add insult to injury , Brown and Darling are both Scottish , is that why , blind loyalty to fellow countrymen? Soon as they got to Westminster Scotland became just another place Up North .
Brown’s old constituency in Fife is one of the most deprived places in Europe , what has Westminster done for them lately ? Yet they still hold an 80% majority there? Edinburgh and Glasgow has the highest rate of child and spousal abuse in Europe , and highest child poverty , again Labour majorities.
I really would like someone to explain this to me , vote Labour for more child poverty , unemployment , and lost revenue ?
Why ?? Can’t you see what is happenning ?
