I think this is extremely important in the next term. Todays benefits climate is grinding the country into the ground.
Those that genuinely need to be on job seekers (or another form of benefit) are being pressured and victimised by staff to get off as quickly as possible. And those that are perfectly able to work but are “waiting for a job they want” sit sucking money out of the government for the rest of their pathetic lives.
It’s appalling. Harsher punishments need to dealt to those who abuse the system, and if they are not inclined to get work, they should be kicked off; end of story. They will quickly realise the importance of having a job when they don’t have anything to eat. Harsh perhaps? Damn right. This country has grown soft and needs to rule with a firmer hand.

I don’t think is fair that after being completed my studies in Law and Design (which have been taken loads of my time that I could be having fun or travellling while working in whatever rather than being enclosed at home and eating chilli con carne),
having an impresive work history and personal background I have to work cleaning toilets or at Mcdonalds, don’t you think?. What the system has to do is to distribute the resources more efficiently and give better advisement not just money, that is what it differences the developed countries against the third world. I think your point of view is superficial proper of a person that thinks belongs to the upper class just because is earning some money, but I am really sorry to tell you that you are in the same box and may be tomorrow you can be asking for benefits in the queue of the job centre plus.
England attracts foreigners/people and potential workers that contribute to its wealth and economy, not because they can live for free during a period of time but because it has been built within a progressive political system that differentiates it from other countries and provides more opportunities than them, keep England without that and you will turn it just in a damp,rainy land full of sheeps,cows,grass and farmers.

i feel marriage allowence is a big thing of the conservatives and strongly agree labour has broken britain
Marriage tax allowence is a complete joke, the reason a lot of people don’t get married is the cost, if the average wedding day costs around £15000, how the hell is the £150 a year tax break going to encourage people to alter their plans and get married, they would need to be married for 100 years to break even, people don’t need to be married to have a long and happy life together.
I have been married for 32 years and we have not stayed together because of a certificate or a tax break.

I was watching something about a year ago that said we have now reached a point in our history where three generations of a family may have never worked but signed on.
I was friends with a guy who ran a job centre and said that when decent people come in, we try to get them into work but when people turn up shouting about their money, the policy is to just hand it over and get them out the door. They don’t have an interest in these people because they are not really part of the system. These people fuck up the system for everyone. I think that anyone who can work but doesn’t because of any reason, should spend a 35-40 hours per week earning their handout and if anything is going to encourage them to get paid properly, it’s the exhaustion of a hard days work.
I also met a guy who had a mum with a council house with three bedrooms. The kids all left and when I asked if she was giving the house back so some other family might benefit in the way they did, I was told why should she… it’s her fuckin’ ‘ouse, init! Well, call me a bastard but I’m paying for that and she only needs a one bedroom.
I live in a place where it costs me a lot to live and my council tax is through the roof but next door is ex-council who bought their house from the government at a cut down price. It’s worth more than the place I rent but I can’t afford to buy… so how do I go from state charity to rich in one fail swoop… Sign me up!

At around 30% of the average pay the UK has one of the lowest old age pensions awards in the EEC – lower than Ireland at 32.5% and Estonia at 32.8%. This surely is a national disgrace?
Stop all the credits and the cost of their administration. Just give a fair pension to all.
Why should someone who worked and saved all their life get less then those who did not work or did not save. The system is rewarding the less responsible in society. We need to encourage saving and make people responsible for their own situtation.
