I’m listening to David Cameron on BBC3 Dermot Meets David Cameron and realised a Conservative ‘untruth’. David Cameron is talking about a Big Society (which is total waffle IMO) and said they want to listen to the people and if they gain power after May 6th they’ll bring in the ability for the British people […]

Well said David – I don’t fall into any of those categories either – how narrow minded and childish.
One of the most anti hunting people I know is a farmer from Shropshire, so that theory is out of the window too.
If we removed or banned everything that is slightly violent then what will we have left.
No game because they can only be shot, that is if you don’t advocate keeping them ion cages.
The effects of fumes from vehicles and powerstations on wildlife, however i sure that you dont use candles and cycle everywhere.
What about the army? would have that banned and prefer to have a chat with Bin Laden?
If we carry on down this corse of mindless over liberal, commie banning then we will have a nanny state with children wrapped up in cotton wool.
This country used to pride itslef on traditions, values, a rough and ready persona and a strong and eager backbone.
Now however, at the hands of left wing, over pragmatic and weak politicians and over liberal hippies like those who protest against fox hunting that is making this country in to a weak, wet and pityfull stae. We will soon become some generic land mass with a quiet and ridiculed voice internationally and no identity!

Wow, Steph – it really shows that you have thought it through with all the categories you have listed as being prime labour voters. I am not for/against any specific party as I find there are none who I agree with on all cases, and each has pro’s and con’s when it comes to voting for them.
I would spend time going through your list to explain why I feel you may be incorrect in some of your assumptions but I do not feel gifted enough to be able to put a point across in a way that you would understand as, I can only come up with one category I would class you in:-
1) Moron
and that therefore is why it could be a complete waste of time trying remotely to have a discussion with you on certain issues. However, if mummy and daddy had been richer they would have arranged to provide you with a sounder education as, the one you have clearly has not worked….

Francis – believe it or not, most (reasonable) people do not want to be associated with something that is violent. There are humane ways to deal with most things – why do you feel that any violence is required to prove a point?
Your point about wrapping children in cotton wool is one that does ring true in certain aspects and it is important that children are aware of where their food comes from and how we produce it. We also seem to have become more of a claim culture whereby eveyone else is to blame for things but ourselves, and we are always looking for payouts – however, this particular trend is more American in theme, so hardly a commie philosophy.
Your point on fox hunting is odd – by protesting against are you saying people are weak? In that case – seeing as fox hunting was banned do you believe the weak are now strong, having defeated the likes of people with your attitude and it is they that hold the reins? Also, a long time ago – I will hark back to the ‘good old days’ of the British Empire as that is where your mentality appears to lie – slavery helped this country to flourish – I assume you are saddened that that particular tradition also died……….
Traidtions and ways of life have changed through the ages and mankind has adapted – if you want Britain to be a country all controlling and powerful throughout the world with no morals with regards to using violence then you may be better moving abroad to some tin pot country under dictatorship that keeps their poeple in place – as that is what you seem to wish to do to a majority of the population in this country. Oops, but then they would not be democratic – they could even be commies…..

David
Is wrong on three counts:
1. The only unbiased opinion poll about hunting showed that 59% OPPOSED an outright ban on hunting
2. Hunting can be extremely effective as a means of controlling foxes: David should ask any Lake District or Welsh sheep farmer if he’s interested in the truth.
3. The fact that hunting with hounds unlike all other means kills the weak, lame, incapacitated foxes – and therefore most disruptive foxes – (it being seriously hard to kill a sound fox), is another big plus.
Oh yes, it’s also wonderful fun – so: go out hunting yourself with a local pack, with an open mind, many of course hunt on foot. See the MFHA website
Tks

Fact! Not all conservatives support fox hunting!
Fact! Steph, you are an embarrassment to your party!
The vast majority of the electorate have consistanly objected to fox hunting with dogs. The Burns report could not justify fox hunting as a way of controlling fox numbers. To want to repeal the Act is only going to show that cruelty is acceptable.
