Will a Conservative govt, if elected, make any changes to Employment Protection Legislation? If so what and when?
Care for the Elderly
The promise to link the state pension to earnings
is welcomed.
However does this link also apply to the Pre 97 Additional state pension together with the Graduated Retirement Benefit which has now been frozen under Labour??????
Whilst local care for the elderly is a devolved matter for the Scottish Parliament, there is the seperate and important matters of Attendance Allowance (AA) currently worth upto £71.40 per week. This cash element which gives the individual valuable support and freedom of choice is paid on a national basis and remains a Westminster matter.
Its future payment remains very much in doubt following the recent white paper consultations and Labours stated future intentions for its’nanny state.
Your Manifesto promise that AA along with DLA will remain in place must be welcomed by millions and deserves more prominence.

In 2005 i voted for the Conservatives, this time there is no way that i could vote for them, Cameron is nothing more than a PR man, and Osborne as chancellor would be a disaster, there is no way that these people can be trusted. Labour appears to have saved the Country from further damage from the recesion, now we are beginning to recover, so Cameron – HANDS OFF.

i agree, cameron’s not realistic! come on!
he dosent explain how his manifesto is going to work. he just mentions things that he his going to make better. its all bollocks from him.
nick’s got a good head on him
vote lib dem.
After many years of voting Labour, if I could be sure that bureaucracy and financial wastage would be positively tackled by a Conservative government I would vote for them gladly.
However, I would also need to know that I am not expected to sell my house (my children’s much needed inheritance because in their twenties they still can’t afford to live independently), to pay for my care when I reach a ripe but poverty and sickness ridden old age.

This is a far too wishy washy manifesto and out of touch with what the common people want.eg a vote on whether we stay in the EU,A severe clampdown on immigration including those immigrants from the EU,and an end to the ridiculous building policy that is ruining our villages and eating up our arable land.

I am concerned by the apparent winding down of our Navy. We once had the finest navy in the world and for me the personell still are. However the reduction in units is becoming dangerous. We are an island nation and a navy will always be our most important defence. As any fool can see this is being noted by nations such as Argentina who believe that we no longer have the resources to defend our territories. Look back in history and you will see that Britain was most respected when we had an overwhelming ability to defend ourselves.
To put in simple terms. The king of the playground is not the clever lad its the hard lad.
