Comment on BNP Policies : BNP Crime and Justice Policy by David.

You should be more concerned about the BNP candidates for parliament and local councilor candidates than those who are paid members of the BNP.

I’m white, born in England (at least three generations from the UK, no idea beyond that) and there would be nothing stopping me joining the BNP other than they probably know who I am now from my website and wouldn’t want an anti BNPer within their midst (I could bring down the BNP from within, conspiracy theory plotting out loud). Hmm, have I just opened myself up to being some kind of nutter who might start blowing things up, so wouldn’t even be welcome in the BNP :-)

You can’t seriously expect a political party to vet all it’s members to a degree where no undesirables join. However, you should demand the BNP candidates are respectable and from the BNP leader down (Nick Griffin convicted for publishing material likely to incite racial hatred) are NOT respectable and should not be part of 21st century British politics.

The BNP leadership is filled with people you would not want to bump into down a dark alley at night: not Nick Griffin, face to face I expect he’d be a complete coward if he ever found himself face to face with a few of the people he hates so much, but there’s plenty in the BNP that would do you harm in the wrong situation!

Take a read of this recent article https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2010/apr/04/bnp-mark-collett-nick-griffin

“The BNP has been thrown into turmoil weeks ahead of the general election after a senior party member was arrested for allegedly threatening to kill Nick Griffin.

Key party officials have been summoned to a meeting tomorrow to discuss “urgent organisational matters” after Griffin and colleagues made statements to police resulting in the BNP’s publicity director, Mark Collett, being detained on Thursday.

Collett, 29, had been due to contest Labour MP David Blunkett’s Sheffield Brightside seat in the election but has been stripped of his position within the party which accused him of conspiring to launch a “palace coup” against Griffin.”

Mark Collett is (or was until this month) a senior member of the BNP, not just an ordinary BNP numpty willing to fork over their membership fees every year. I guess he’ll go to the National Front after being expelled from the BNP.
