Yes, but Asylum support is NOT Jobcentre money, it;s a different fund and it’s actually a lot lower than people get on JSA.
They have to be a legal Asylum seeker to claim it, and they get to claim it as legally they are NOT allowed to work in the UK.
But you also have to see the difference between an Asylum Seeker and an immigrant.
Asylum Seekers are people who have fled their own country through fear of death etc, immigrants are different.
Immigrants are given working visa’s etc and they can’t actually claim any benefits at all unless of course they are given full British passport status and then have two years National Insurance contributions records the same as anyone else has to have.
So you see there are big differences in what you say.
