Just so you know the councillor who you said ‘didn’t bother to turn up’ lost his job and the only alternative was to work nights and sleep days in a new job. Hence he could make no council meetings. He therefore resigned – he was not kicked out and did not need to resign but thought it was the fairest thing to do, a councillor only needs to show up for one meeting every 6 months and he had not gone over this limit – and let someone who would have the time and correct circumstances to take over.
