Since I mentioned programs like UK Border Force first I also watch it occasionally and I don’t recall once seeing what you described.

When a possible illegal immigrant doesn’t have a passport they detain them and jump through hoops to prove where they came from then deport them. If they find their passport they deport them ASAP.

The only exception to this is if they try to claim asylum, then they have to jump through more hoops and in the meantime might be given significantly reduced benefits.

It’s far from a perfect system, but it’s not like you and the BNP describe it, so please get your facts straight. Stick to the facts, most reasonable people accept there’s an immigration problem, no need to blow it out of proportion with stupid BNP lies and exaggeration.

I will add one of the first documentaries I watched on illegal immigration had the immigration force stopping people in the street that acted suspiciously and when they confirmed they were illegal they let many of them go with instructions to report to Boston police station 2 weeks later!!! That must be over 5 years ago though and since then not seen it again in a TV program.

On a program like UK Border Force (don’t think it was that one) an adult man (he must have been 30 years old) claimed he was 15 and as a minor he had to go through the social services, they put him in foster care and he disappeared!

Like I said a far from perfect system, but it’s not a simple case of they let everyone go and our borders certainly aren’t wide open. I would say there are big gaps in it (student visas in particular) which is unacceptable and needs further fixing.

Seriously George what would you have us do with illegal immigrants as they are found trying to come from France through the Channel Tunnel?

If we imprison them for an extended period of time before sending them home (as a deterrent not to try again), we have to pay to keep them locked up which IMO would be worse than letting them in to work, cost to the country wise.

So please give us your LEGAL solution to this problem? Sinking immigrant filled boats is not a legal or valid solution.
